US trip

We flew in from Manila to Nagoya,Japan for 3 hrs and
we arrived around 11:30am in Sept. 20.Eventhough our
destination is in Detroit,since we're making a stop
over, we are required to have another security check
based on Japan's custom requirement. The airport is
beautiful and organized.
Around 01:00 pm,we had to get to the plane for
Detroit. Its a 10hr flight, no more stop overs so all
we had to do is just sit back and sleep,and more
sleep. My back aches and my feet is getting numb and
im not used to travel that long and im thinging while
in the place, when are we going to land.
Around 11:30amEST, US time, we arrived in Detroit
finally. We had to check in our baggage again since
we'll have connecting flight to Greenville. Since the
flight to SC will be around 12:52pmEST,3 of my
co-workers decided to smoke some cigarettes while
waiting. The smoking area is at the very end of the
airport and its almost 5 mins walk one way. They
thought that they could make it for boarding but
unfortunately, they didn't. They missed the flight.
Mae and I are the only one that got to Greenville on
time. At that time we we're all worried since we don't
know yet who's gonna pick us up from the airport. Good
thing, I had roaming connection so I asked Carla (the
one left back in Detroit,)if they had called Synnex
already to inform them about what happened. They said
yes and that someone is gonna pick us up. We arrived
in SC at 03:00pmEST,we waited for 10 mins or so 'till
a lady approached us saying that she's from Synnex.
Finally, the 2 of us drove directly to our hotel for
check in.Thankfully, there's another flight that same
day so the remaining 3 girls left behind could get on
board later.
We were so tired and exhausted from the long trip but
when we finally saw the city, its pretty refereshing.
The scene was so calm and the air is fresh.There are
lots of restaurants and based from the people that we
met in the office, they love to eat out a lot. That's
one of my problem. Im trying to minimize my food
intake but i guess i will have difficulty doing that
here. Anyway, the hotel has a gym and pool so maybe I
can visit those places sometime. On Monday, the formal
training will start. They had given us the details on
what we're gonna do for 2 months.
According to them, we have to stay here 'till Nov.16.
Since the ticket indicates that our flight home will
be on Nov. 1, they had to rebook the ticket and they
have to give us additional allowances for the
additional 2 weeks. They are working on it already.
The temp here is about 21-23 degreeC.So its not that
cold.
Since yesterday, some of our new officemates here had
toured us around the city. And since they gave us a
rental car, we have to get to know the roads and such
to get to places. There are so many stores here that
you could imagine and the servings of the food here is
so big. We have complimentary breakfast at the hotel
everyday, 7 days a week so we get free breakfast
before going to work.
