what i missed while i was away POSTED AT 10:54 PM in Family Pixie, our 3-year-old poodle, gave birth to three cute puppies last November 7. The father is our Japanese Spitz, Kimimaru (or Kimi for short). More pictures can be found here. It seems only yesterday when they were still babies, and now they're making babies of their own. LOL.

M2 will have an opening for 25 MNL Care reps by December and the team, or at least most of us, think it's a good idea to transfer. Commonwealth is like two hours away from home, but if my teammates are moving then I'm coming with them. Oh, before I forget... Congratulations to Gatch for getting promoted to Ops Desk! Out of 21 hopefuls (almost all of them more tenured), he got picked. I'm so proud of you!

The Likhaan's annual celebration of UP Writers Night is the literary highlight that caps the year. Since it started several decades ago, the UP Writers Night has become a tradition among writers and artists as the time for coming together to celebrate Philippine literature and the other arts.
In celebration of the sentenary of the University of the Philippines, the Likhaan: UP Institute of Creative Writing is expanding its annual celebration of UP Writers Night to UP Writers Day 2008. As the expanded version of UP Writers Night, this event is even more awaited by the country's writers and literary readers, artists, and students.
UP Writers Day 2008 will be held on December 5 and will comprise activities that begin in the morning of the said day and culminate in the celebration of Writers Night. The concept is homecoming, and the activities are targeted toward writers who have been part of the UP National Writers Workshops and young writers who will eventually gain admission to the current advanced UP National Writers Workshop held yearly in Baguio City. Other expected participants are writers from other institutions, artists from other fields, friends of writers, and writing students.

Sa Reading at iba pa. POSTED AT 06:17 PM Sa salin ni Rio Alma ng Noli, na nagkaroon ng marathon reading noong weekend, mas naappreciate ko ang istorya sa loob ng libro. Noon kasing required itong pag aralan sa high school tila babasahin lamang ito dahil kailangan. SA pakikinig at pagbabasa na rin, mas masarap ngayon ang mga salita, mas madamdamin ang mga tagpo at mas nakakakiliti ang romansa nina Ibarra at Maria Clara. Tinapik ako sa balikat ni Sir Rio nang malaman niyang magbabasa ako, at nakita ko naman ang tiim ng pakikinig niya sa akin noong toka ko na. Magkakasunod kami nina Lourd de Veyra, Michael coroza at Egay Samar. Nag stay pa ako hanggang 830 ng gabi dahil nalibang ako sa pakikinig. Napakinggan ko earlier sina Tin tin Bersola at Julius Babao sa kabanatang Suyuan Sa Asotea. Medyo nangingilid naman ang luha mata ni Roy Alavarez nang magbasa siya. Nakita ko doon ang ilang miyambro ng LIRA, at paalis na rin ako nang dumating ang grupo ng Pinoypoets. Sagana naman sa kape at pagkain. Mga 10:30 na ako dumating ng bahay dahil sa ulan. **nabwisit ako dahil binitin pa ang bagong matatanggal sa Survivor phils, sana si marlon na o si Rob. *** umpisa na ng Fear Factor mamaya, hala alin kaya ang mas exciting panoorin. ****nagdadalawang isip ako kung magsusubmit ako ng requirments at entry sa isang workshop.

Baguio Getaway POSTED AT 05:53 PM in Gatch and I For our 5th anniversary celebration, Gatch and I went to romantic Baguio. We LOVED it there and we are definitely going back. I uploaded some pictures in my gallery but it's set to friends-only for now. Edit: I added something on day three. 5th anniversary celebration POSTED AT 06:54 AM in Gatch and I Just got home from our 4-day Baguio getaway and I'm too damn tired to write about it now. Before I go to bed, let me greet the love of my life... Happy anniversary milabs!
PS: On the way to Baguio, the original version of I Do (Cherish You) by Mark Wills played on the radio and I instantly fell in love with it. I think I want that song on my wedding (which is still years from now though) |
