(haha nonstop reading nanaman 'to)

so may next book, it only means na natapos ko na ang Chromosome 6 (phew!! after 8 long months, i finally had the desire to finish it!) anyway, ang COOOOOL sobra sobra sobra. mas cool sa gawa ni Dan Brown, Dean Koontz or ni Clive Cussler pa (siguro, in someway, kalevel ng Tell Me Your Dreams ni Sidney Sheldon) talagang no flaws, no dull scenes at hindi talaga mabitawan. literally

kasi, 11:00 pm, sabi ko matutulog na ako kagabi (para hindi na ako matempt na matulog ng 2 am para panoorin yung MLB highlights and Hyper Space sa Discovery Channel) pero, i ended up listening to music till 12:30 and...nung ubos na yung bat ng mp3 ng kapatid ko... hina-haunt na ako ng libro ko, talagang ibang klase yung thrill nya kaya nagbasa na lang ako..

so that was 12:30 am..

till 4:30 am..

and fortunately, hindi nagparamdam ang sinusitis..

actually, the book belongs to Vanessa..well, to be precise e kay Kuya Lester nya, yung 2nd year sa medicine na..at mukhang may collection sya ng Robin Cook

at dahil nahook ako sa libro kasi, well, it's a MEDICAL THRILLER, so naturally, magugustuhan ko sya kasi nandun yung field of interest ko. but i think kahit sino naman na makakabasa ng book e magugustuhan yun

saka kasi, mala CSI ang dating kasi may forensic pathology at may napatay na big-time criminal..oh well..

for the benefit of the "Donna" na rin: (hehe the Donna is being missed by me) ganito ang story

yung corpse, inautopsy, kaso biglang nawala yung corpse sa morgue tapos biglang binalik uli. yung medical examiner na naglead, tiningnan yung liver (nilasug-lasog kasi ng may kasalanan kaya kinuha yung body at binalik din, gnawa yun to prevent the examiners from knowing something) tas the examiner found out that the liver must've been transplanted kaso nung DNA testing, they found out that the DQ Alpha (the hell w/ that) was similar to something related to the man's DNA tas sabi nila, it could not happen pag transplanted kasi it would only be possible if the transplanted liver was taken from an identical twin.

pumunta yung examiner sa isang pathologist, kinonsult yung slide na kinuha from the liver na may granuloma (just pretend that u know that) at nagulat kasi di pa raw sya nakakakita ng granuloma na ganun (83 na sya) so nagkonsult pa sila sa isang parasitologist tas sabi rin nya, ipapakita nya sa isang kaibigan pa nya kasi it looked like it was related daw to animals.

okay, so that was in NY, in Equatorial Guinea naman, may company called GenSys na sobrang close sa government ng country and favor sa kahit anong sabihin nila. yung isang microbiologist dun, may ginagawang research, nalaman nya na pag kinuha raw yung arm ng chromosome 6 and.. (ang alam ko may gagawin..) at, pinasok sa offspring ng bonobo (related to chimpanzees), eventually, magrereact sa body ang chromosome 6 and yung organs nung bonobo, nagiging similar sa human na kinuhanan ng chromosome na yun. in short, 2 kau, except that the bonobo kinda represents you thousands of years ago..and you were the evolved form..

kaya lumalago yung company kasi yung mga mayayamang tao, kumukuha ng kanilang mga "doubles". so ganun yung nangyari sa man na pinatay, kaya kinuha yung corpse tas sinira yung liver e para di malaman ng forensics.

so yung microbiologist sa GenSys, may access sa mga pinagaggawa ng mga bonobo (kasi nilagay lahat sa island) so nakita nya sa computer na yung 2 bonobo, hindi gumagalaw saka naghati sa 2 groups yung bonobos, yung isang group, nandun yung double nya, si number 1, kasama yung mga bonobo na matatanda na rin tas yung sa next group, yung mga mejo batang bonobo..saka nakita rin nya na may parang umuusok sa island

maraming nangyri pa pero after lots of effort na makaalis sa GenSys para pumunta sa island, nalaman nilang nakakatayo na ang mga bonobo (na supposedly daw e hindi), nakakagawa na ng fires, may sarili ng language at nasa tool-making stage na, at meron pa pala, yung bonobo na di gumagalaw, nakita nilang patay na pala..nagpapatayan sila. naging hostage sila ng bonobos, the microbiologist Kevin and 3 women.

tapos, back sa GenSys, nagalit yung director kasi alam nyang may ginawa nanaman si Kevin kasi alam nyang disturbed sya sa acitivities ng mga bonobo kasi they were acting like humans na raw kaya gumawa sila ng retrieval operation, pumunta sa island tas kinuha yung mga bonobos at itatago na raw sa isang building nila, nakita sina Kevin at binalik sa house nya sa GenSys pero held captive pa rinsa 2nd floor,

back in NY, nalaman kung ano ang granuloma at sinabing yung parasite na nagcre-create ng cyst e exclusive lang sa apes. yung mga examiners naman sa NY, pumuntang Africa kasi nalaman nilang pumunta yung dead man sa Africa, pumunta sila sa GenSys at nahuli. sina Kevin, nalaman na may Americans from NY na dumating kaya gumawa sila ng plan para tulungan din sila kasi alam nilang may kinalaman sa transplant and you know what happens next, nakaalis sila, niligtas yung mga bonobo at using the bonobo language e sinabing "You go away".. at back sa America na (pero di nilagay kung anong nangyari sa company kasi expected naman na sasampahan yun)

--so yun, nalaman na transgenic yung liver.

okay, tapos ko na Lost City at kahapon naka-300 pages ako, kanina, 212 kasi total nya 512. usually, 100 pages per day lang ako kasi gusto ko yung pahintu-hinto para pag-isipan yung mga nangyari sa chapters na nabasa ko pero kahapon, di ko lang talaga mabitawan, afternoon till 2 am ako nagbabasa kasi ang ganda ng plot at mahaba saka isa pa, it talks about scientific experiments gone wrong. may monsters nga, i mean, weird creatures.

nung nasa akin na yung Lost City na yan, actually, nung nakita ko yung author, sabi ko, familiar yung "Clive" kaya kanina, (some seconds ago lang) pagkatapos ko nang basahin, hinalughog ko yung nasa cabinet ko na may mga lumang novels ng tatay ko (kasi separate ang new sa old saka isa pa, ang dumi na ng mga yun at sa papa ko yun kaya hiwalay sa bookshelf kong ang mga libro e nagtataasan) at nakita ko yung Pacific Vortex! na 1983 pa ginawa. tungkol din sa NUMA (National Underwater and Marine Agency) at si Dirk Pitt yung hero.

habang binabasa ko, naalala ko yung Chromosome 6 na hindi ko pa natapos kaya tatapusin ko na kasi may mga mutants din dun eh. so next na yun

kanina, napanood ko yung Seattle Mariners vs Texas Rangers 4-6 yung score haha at ang Mariners nanaman ang pinakakulelat sa ranking sa West! Merde!

katatapos ko lang nung romance novel ni Nora Roberts at grabe, nagagandahan ako balak ko ngang bilhin yung mga prequels pa kasi gusto kong kumpletuhin yung Chesapeake Bay Saga..yung story na ng mga kapatid nya yun. anyway, parang kay Sheryll Woods din, nung nabasa ko yung Ask Anyone nya, parang gusto ko ring kumpletuhin yung trilogy nya, lalo na yung sequel dun (kasi 2nd book yung nabasa ko)

feel ko magiging Nora Roberts fan na rin ako kasi well, merong air yung book ng mala-Nicholas Sparks ala Sheryll Woods style pero baka hindi e, unique talaga.

hay, my mind's still wandering..may hangover pa sa fiction, and next, sci-fi na para maiba, then shift sa classics. okay, all's set!
