MAKKUN LAYOUTS SUSPENDED
I'm running out of ideas so I think I'll settle with downloading some for now, just until i get my ass back. :D This one is much much better than the crappy stuff I call "makkun layouts" anyway. Besides, I don't have the tools I need. Heck, I'm just plain lazy. XD

So anyway, welcome to my small spot on the net -- my other reality, so to speak. I'm not asking you to enjoy, because my life is too boring. Just be nice and let me know you've been here. Thanks. :D

NOW ON TO THE BLOG ...

Is it that time of the year?

Fruitcake
Eraserheads

There's a fruitcake for everybody
There's a fruitcake for everyone
There are b-sides to every story
If you decide to have some fun

Take a bite
It's alright
There's some brandy and star margarine to make it bright
Take a bite
It's alright
A little loving and some fruit to bake
Life is a piece of cake

It's the season for being happy
But the reason is dead and gone
If the reason for being happy
Takes a backseat when the season's done

Just take a bite
It's alright
Taste the taste that sent all mothers giggling in sheer delight
Take a bite
It's alright
A little loving and some fruit to bake
Life is a piece of cake

Everybody, everywhere, people do you really care
Christmas time has once again arriived
Everybody, everywhere, people do you really care
Christmas time has once again arriived

Mistletoes and a little snow
We don't get it there at fruit cake's heights
Mistletoes and a little snow
We don't get it there at fruit cake's heights

Stars are falling down from heaven
But it's nowhere near our town
Miracles are falling down from heaven
But it's nowhere near our town

There's a fruitcake in everybody
There's a fruitcake in everyone
There are b-sides to every story
If you decide to have some fun

Just take a bite
It's alright
Taste the taste that sent all mothers giggling in sheer delight
Take a bite
It's alright
A little loving and some fruit to bake
Life is a piece of cake

Take a leap, today--you've done enough deliberating for a lifetime, and at a certain point you just have to get going! Leap, and the safety net will be there--just trust it! Believe in yourself and believe that no matter what happens, you can handle the situation. You've had a lot of your energy focused on getting work done, but the connections you wanted haven't been made--so now is the time to push things over the edge. Fully commit to your own success.

It's about time. :)

distinction

My mom and bro came to the congregation yesterday. Mom was so proud that I got "distinction" :) I guess that's the only thing I'm proud of yesterday. Well, more like, for the past 2 years.

I didn't really want my family to come, since it's nothing to be proud of graduating from college. I'd rather they come for next year's. But then, I'll most likely not get a "distinction" or honor cord or whatever for next year's. =P

Spent the first half taking pix and eating with my mom and bro; after they left, I went to find my bf and friends. Had dinner with friends to "celebrate".

I'm still sick.

Crapload of projects. Yet, I'm re-reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. -_-

Breakfast of Champions

I was nearly late for work today because my mother wanted to talk about how she and my dad would like to be cremated within 24 hours after they die.

Good Lord, is this kind of conversation really appropriate to have over breakfast?!?

I'm not being apathetic here, but it's just so awkward talking about your parents' funeral arrangement preferences.  It is so depressing and I really can't imagine my life without them, so I would like to avoid this kind of talk unless it's absolutely necessary.  Recently, my parents interject our light conversations with this topic, making it sound like banter!

Le sigh.

You see, my folks are retired, bored and just lounging around the house, waiting for "their time to go."  That's hardly inspiring for their kids because they're not that old.  They're only in their 60s.

Parents... They're kinda difficult to raise.  Tsk.

sick

My throat hurts. I'm starting to cough. I'm getting sick. But my bf says it's because I ate a bunch of chips. -_-

Meanwhile, today we got the results for last Tuesday's presentation and report. Surprisingly, we did well! (Thanks to me har har) So I suppose things would improve slightly.

However, I have to spill out some layouts for tomorrow's tutorial, which I do NOT want to go. I feel like I have a fever. Hmm.

5-6 Loans can cause cancer

I had a weird conversation with my mother last week involving one of our neighbours who had just died of cancer.

She said that was the second person she knew who had been involved in 5-6* who had died of cancer.  Therefore, she thinks that because they are involved with this scheme, which according to her is disapproved of in the Bible, that something rotted inside of their bodies, caused cancer and thereafter, their deaths.

And I'm just like, "Wut?"

I went on to say that "Well, Uncle *bleep* has prostate cancer and he doesn't operate a loanshark business."

She went silent then.

*sigh*

My mum needs to get out more.

*5-6, the way I understand it, is a method of lending /borrowing money wherein the lender asks for additional 10% interest of the loaned amount on top of the MONTHLY re-payments -- it's a cruel way of lending to the desperate.
