WELCOME TO THE UP COLLEGE OF NURSING BATCH 2005 WEBPAGE
The University of the Philippines College of Nursing is the premier nursing school that acts as a change agent serving the health needs of the Filipino People and provides leadership and excellence in nursing development in the global community.
The UP College of Nursing provides leadership and excellence in nursing education, research, continuing education, community service and nursing development relevant to the health and development goals of the nation. These are done through programs in teaching, research, continuing education and community services and the World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Center for Nursing Development in Primary Health Care.
The College of Nursing was established in 1948. In 1972, the Board of Regents merged the Philippine General Hospital School of Nursing and UP College of Nursing. The creation of the Health Sciences Center in 1977 made the college an autonomous unit of the UP System. Reorganization of UP Manila made the College of Nursing a part of UP Manila.
