Today we began celebrating Dr. Seuss 100th Birthday at Harrison School and it began with the principal reading one of his books. In my classroom I decorated the door with the picture of the book cover from " I Had Trouble in getting to Solla Sollew" and my students work a message on the bottom of the picture. One of my students, named Karen wrote a letter and a poem for him.

Happy Birthday
Happy Bitheday Dr. Seuss
Hope you are in heaven with God,
And hope you have a great party.
Thank you for the books you wrote for us.
Here I wrote you a poem like the
Books you wrote.
"BOOKS"
Books are great,
Books are good,
Books are good for
Children and you,
Books are fun to
Read and learn,
And that is the
End of the poem.
I wrote.
Love,
Karem
We will always remember your lovely books.
