Stardard:

1.0. WRITTEN AND ORAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE CONVENTIONS: Students write and speak with a command of standard English conventions that are appropriate to each grade level.

Sentence Structure:

1.1. understand and be able to use complete and correct declarative, interrogative, imperative, and exclamatory sentences in writing and speaking


Student Product: Students will gain important practices in writing a variety of sentences ending in periods, question marks, or exclamation points, through the use of class weblogs.

Related Activities:

Activity 1:> Teacher will post a prompt to the class weblog. Students will post a comment in response to the prompt, using a varienty of sentences.

Activity 2: Students will post their concept and /or question related to the Open Court Unit, using a variety of sentences.

Activity 3: Teacher will post a promt to the class weblog that contains a linked to Magnetic Poetry: Story Maker. Students will go to the site and create a variety of sentences using the online magnetic phrases.
