Do not judge me

I have my own reasons for doing what I am doing, for the decisions that I made, and the decisions that I will make.

They may not be the best of reasons. Some would probably think they are ridiculous.

But what do they really understand? They are not in my shoes. They don't know what I am going through.

At the very least, I am feeling fine, doing fine.

And as long as I know what I am getting myself into, as long as I am prepared for what lies ahead, I will continue to do fine.

A very brief update

I got into PWC.

I also got into Sunway.

But I chose to go to PWC.

I think it would be a better experience to be in an audit firm.

Which reminds me, I should e-mail Mr. Rozario to thank him for his time. He has been really really nice.

A not so brief update

Went for my interview, it was rather informal. But I must say their requirements are really so high, and the trainees/part-timers working for them that he spoke off are all so...mighty! Kinda giving me second thoughts about going there, but I shall not look down on myself that way. I will never know my abilities if I don't answer to the opportunities knocking on my door.

There is a good chance that I may just get the position, cos apparently, the other guy that was with Mr. Rozario, whom I also met at the Joint, is the MD of the finance department. And he also came into the room and had a chat with me. Haha. They were saying that they should find me something to do during my summer vacation. We even talked about Joint! Yea, that was how informal the interview was. Not to mention that everyone at the office was wearing t-shirts and jeans (though that has got nothing to do with my interview. Haha).

And I got a copy of their annual report, which I'm not quite sure what to do with. But I guess if I want to work for them I should learn about their financial position.

Speaking of annual reports, I think these annual reports have something against me. The other day, I was at the com lab printing out the annual report for Bumiputra Bank, and it gave me a paper cut on my left palm. Then when I was flipping through the Sunway annual report yesterday, I got another paper cut on my right hand. Damn blardy painful wei.

I may have to stay at Joint an extra week or two to train up some new staffs coming in. Political issues there (or personal issues or whatever it is, cos I honestly don't know anymore) has evolved on a very very very HUGE scale, and yes I am caught somewhat in the middle of it. I only need to train them on the cashiering and reports. I have a plan worked out on how to go about it, as in how I can help the new staffs without me having to actually work there. Just need to discuss it with my boss first.

[Update to be continued...cos I gtg]

20.09.06 Brief update: Time for a change

I have officially handed in my resignation letter. It's about time. Can't take the "indirect" pressure those people are giving me anymore (and it's not even work-related). But like Wendy said, I can run but I can't hide. Never mind. One step at a time.

I need to get my life back on track. Need to reorganise. Need to sort myself out, set my priorities straight. I don't expect everything to be the way they were before, and I don't necessarily want it to be. The changes in me may not be good for some, but I think it will be good for me. And I need to stop thinking for other people, and focus on myself for a change.

Yea. I think I will do that.

Gossip of the moment

With all the hype and rumours about the "non-existence" of baby Suri, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes FINALLY revealed pictures of their precious. But yea, the media had been rather mean about all this I gotta admit. The things that they said were just outright cruel.

But whatever. THE BABY IS TOO DARN CUTE!! She is beautiful! Even if PITNB believes that baby Suri is actually an alien. Hahaha.

Gosh, honestly. She is just too cute!

All the good and bad things

My interview with Sunway Group was postponed. Mr Rozario called me today and asked ME if it was okay. Err, well it is actually up to him, and not me, but oh well. Haha.

He was kinda informal with me. I called him 'sir', and he asked me to call him Mark. And he referred the upcoming interview with me as 'a chat', not an 'interview'. And we were almost like chatting over the phone rather than being formal with each other.

Maybe this was because we met before in a very informal way, where we were actually joking around and laughing about (with him and his colleagues as well). But no worries. I will not take advantage of that and I will treat him as a (potential) employer and give him the proper respect.

Btw, have I ever mentioned that I also met a guy from an advertising firm who does ads for Sunway? He was just hanging out with his colleagues at Joint when he suddenly asked to speak to me. He asked me if I was interested in just doing some modelling (more on commercial, not fashion), and just earn a lil extra money out of it. He did call me a few weeks back when he was at my college. Asked me to meet him, and he took some really random snapshots of me.

Two days ago, I got a callback and apparently I have been selected for a photoshoot for some calendar thingy for Sunway. They asked about my size. I think I will be wearing some working attire, cos they mentioned a coat (sorry, but this is not a swimming suit or a playboy calendar). They will call back to arrange a time and date for the photoshoot, which is most likely to be on a Monday.

Cool.

*sigh*

This is one of the reasons why I wish I don't have to quit working at The Joint. But a time will come when I WILL have to leave, and the time might be sooner than I had wanted. But I hope I can work things out, so then maybe I wouldn't have to quit so soon.

How should I prepare?

Interview on Friday.

Damn nervous now.

Anyways I got shortlisted on Mr Foo's list of recommendations for the internship with one of the big 4s (I applied for Pricewaterhouse). I will take on Pricewaterhouse if I can get it, but if I can't then hopefully I will be able to get Sunway Group.

But right now, the interview!

Aarrrggghhhh! I need to calm down.

*sigh*
