Bunny Withdrawls

POSTED AT 10:11 AM in Rabbitry Updates

Long time no....nothing.  Things have mellowed out quite a bit since I cut back my herd to 3 rabbits.  And now that my son has become far more independent, I have been reminiscing about the smell of wood shavings, fresh rabbit pellets out of the bag, and fresh greens stuffed through the wires.  *Sigh*   My 3 rabbits are now only 2.  Kotten Kandy (my baby REW EA doe) and Bella (a HIGHLY promising Blue FA doe).  So whats the plan?  Here it is in a nut shell....

1.  Purchase one male EA buck.  REW preferably.  I've got my eyes set on one from Kathrine's herd.

2.  Buy 2 FA.  A buck and a doe.  I'm not certain what colors.  But looking for TOP quality starter animals.

3. Invest in a NEW barn (seeing as Matt took over my last barn!) I'm thinking rather small (12 X 15 ish).  I figure by investing in a small barn I can afford to splurge on my next step....

4.NEW cages!  All 3X2 foot stacks.  So everyone gets room to stretch.  I'm planing on a modest 24 holes.  It's  a start!

 And so goes my plan.....

With A Grave Heart

POSTED AT 12:53 PM in Rabbitry Updates

Due to the declining conditon of my son, I'v given all my stock over to my mother's rabbitry, Regal Rabbits.  I have decided to keep 3 rabbits.  My most sentimental, Kotten Kandy, my most winning, Daffodil, and the most promise, a young baby out of satine and ebony.

I might still bred but now on a much smaller scale certianly.  Thank you.  I hope to continue with my rabbit networking ambitons such as "The Rabbit Patch"

New Additions To The Herd

POSTED AT 12:06 PM in Rabbitry Updates

I picked up a few new JW to add to my herd and I'm quite excited to see how they shape up.  I would like you to meet my two newest does to join us here at VM

Popcorn

Peanut

The little REW's name is Fuzz-N-Fur's Popcorn and the beutiful chestnut is Fuzz-N-Fur's Peanut.  Both exhibit a wonderful temperment and type.  Peanut promises to be a great showbunny and I'm sure if I can get Popcorn to keep still, she too should do very well.

I also picked up a buck to add to my color regimine.  I really enjoy the opal color so when I saw Fuzz-N-Fur's Blue Ice I was of course excitied.  He will breed great with my opal doe, Button.  He's in a bit of an akword stage so I sincerly hope he grows to be a nice buck.
